Tim Ferriss 4 Hour Work Week Book, Makes For A Great Gift

What do you buy for a person that is trying to get ahead in their business?

I would suggest a book I have been reading by Timothy Ferriss, called the 4 Hour Work Week.
It's like a Tim Ferriss interview.

Here is why I would recommend this book:

  1. Beginner or Wealthy: This book has tips and tricks that a brand new business owner or the seasoned business pro can use. They can use "how to use Ebay to test new product ideas". This is a very inexpensive way to test new product ideas.
  2. Well Traveled or Never Traveled: If you want tips on how to save the most money on a plane ticket, its in the book! If you want tips on how to pack for a trip around the world, its in the book. If you just want to tackle the ins and outs of living in a foreign country. Just check out the book.
  3. Is your gift for the cubicle dweller? In Tim's book he goes over how to go from working at your desk 40+ hours a week to working from anywhere in the world and not losing your job.
  4. Goals: What would a lifestyle book be without goals. Tim walks you through how to set goals that excite you, so you can make them a reality.
These are only a handful of reasons to check out this book as a gift. I'm sure the receiver of this book will be more that pleasantly surprised, when they get it.

Garmin Nuvi, do you really need one?

Take this quick Quiz to see if you need a garmin streetpilot in your car:
  • Are you a professional driver or drive to places your not familiar with?
If you have a car you are going to go to places not all to familiar to you, so a back up navigator on your car dashboard will not hurt. If your anything like me and always make that wrong turn somehow, save yourself some time and frustration and get a guide that knows the lay of the land.

  • Do you like tech?
I ask this because if you don't like new tech gadgets and playing with them, then you probably need a map and a compass. If you have a cell phone you can use a gps, especially by Garmin. There gps systems are very user friendly. If I can use one without throwing out to car window I'm pretty sure you can to.

  • Are you driving to San Paulo Brazil from say Las Vegas Nevada?
I ask this because the Garmin nuvi 285W/285WT doesn't work that far south. It only has maps for the entire US (Alaska, Hawaii included) Canada and Puerto Rico. So if your driving in North America your pretty much covered.

Here are some other features you may like to read about:

Turn-by-Turn directions- every turn you make will be spoken to you with real street names Not just "turn in 23 ft."

Real Time Traffic updates- If your just driving to work or going across country the Garmin Nuvi updates traffic in real time, so you can make changes on the fly.

Its Very Portable- Just stick it in your pocket or purse and forget about it until you hop back into the car.
